Nicotine pouch disposal for golf courses
Put pouch disposal where golfers stop before and after the round: the clubhouse, locker rooms, halfway house, pro shop, and covered walls by cart staging. STOWE is a small wall-mounted unit that gives members and guests an obvious place for a used pouch at each stop.
Why do golf courses end up with so many used nicotine pouches?
Members and guests use pouches heavily on the course. A round takes hours, a pouch doesn't get in the way of a swing, and nobody has to step away from the group to use one.
The trouble is what happens next. Out on the course there's rarely a bin at hand, so used pouches ride along in the cart and get left at the next stop. Cup holders, locker room benches, and clubhouse restrooms collect what the round left behind.
Where do golfers need a place to put a used pouch?
Think about the stops every player makes, and put a unit at each one:
- Clubhouse: restrooms and the grill room, where most rounds start and finish.
- Locker rooms: near the sinks and benches, where players get ready and clean up.
- Halfway house: by the counter or the door, since it's the one stop most groups make mid-round.
- Pro shop: close to the entrance, where players check in and pick up the last few things.
- Cart staging area: on covered, indoor-adjacent walls only.
Can you mount it near the cart staging area?
Yes, if the wall is covered and right next to indoor space, like the entrance to a cart barn or a sheltered wall outside the pro shop.
Keep it under cover and away from rain. It isn't meant for tee boxes or anywhere out on the course.
How does it help before and after the round?
Before the round, a player who finishes a pouch in the locker room or pro shop can drop it there instead of carrying it to the tee.
After the round, the walk from the carts to the clubhouse is when players clear out their pockets and cup holders. A unit along that path gives them a place for whatever they've been carrying, before it reaches a bench or a restroom floor.
That also leaves less for the staff who clean out carts at the end of the day.
Will it suit a private club?
It's small, at about 4" wide, 3.1" deep, and 5.75" tall, and it's made of ABS plastic. The Branded option comes in matte black or white and ships free on orders of 3 or more units.
A club that wants its own look can choose Custom: a white bin with a 3-side vinyl wrap carrying the club's logo. Custom has a 3-unit minimum and always ships free. Pricing for both will be announced at launch.
Who installs and empties the units?
Whoever is on hand. Each unit has 3M VHB adhesive already applied, so a locker room attendant can peel it and press it onto the wall with no tools.
To empty it, slide the bin off the wall plate, lift off the lid, swap the bag, and slide it back. That's easy to add to a closing checklist.
